The Challenge
Parloa needed a flagship customer story from an environment where reliability is the whole argument. An airport handles enormous call volumes across several languages, so an AI agent that performs there is credible evidence for every other sector. The story had to be captured inside a working airport, feel human rather than technical, and work for audiences across Europe and the United States. Parloa’s video production lead, Sean Meehan, owned the creative from New York. What he needed was a production partner in Berlin who could bring local knowledge, take on the planning and logistics, and deliver his vision on the ground.
The Approach
This was a different model to most of our work. Sean wrote the creative, flew in and directed; we built everything around it. Our Berlin-based DoP and producer recced the airport ahead of the shoot, sending back reference shots so the plan could be refined down to which part of the terminal would catch the sunset. We handled permits, locations and timings, then ran a two-day shoot with a five-person crew inside a live terminal that never stops for a film unit. The raw footage went to Parloa’s in-house team in New York for the edit, and the locked cut came back to us for the colour grade, giving the film the cinematic finish that lifts it above a standard customer story.
The Impact
The film is sector-specific evidence rather than a product demo: BER’s own team explaining, in their own words, what the AI agent does for passengers and why it matters. It runs at three minutes thirty-seven and carries the pace of a documentary rather than a testimonial, which is why people watch it to the end. Just as important was the experience on the day. For a flagship customer, a smooth, well-run shoot is part of the deliverable, and it is what makes a client happy to take part again.
The Business Outcome
BER’s AI agent went live in under six weeks, built with Parloa’s implementation partner KINOVA, and now answers passenger questions around the clock in German, English, Polish and Spanish at 85% customer satisfaction. It was recognised with the “Most Innovative Airport Initiative” award. For Parloa, the film is now doing the rounds and opening doors to new opportunities, and they have since commissioned further customer stories across different industries and countries. For Dojo, it proved a model we would gladly repeat: a senior production and finishing team plugged into a client’s own creative direction, rather than taking the creative off them.
